DUBLIN COUNTY, IRELAND

             BAILE ATHA CLIATH:
"The town of the hurdle ford"

Dublin County is the third smallest county in Ireland, however, it is the most populated. It is surrounded by vibrant and colorful towns and landscapes, and it is known for being the county where many famous people were born, such as Oscar Wilde, George Bernard, Bram Stoker, Bono, or Colin Farrell, among others. There are many pet-friendly places and activities that you can do with your humans in Dublin County. Here you have some links to explore:

One of the coolest places you can visit in Dublin County is MALAHIDE. Although, Malahide belongs to Fingal County, it is just to 30 minutes driving from Dublin city. Your human can find more information in this link:

There are many pet-friendly things to do in Malahide. For example, you can take your humans to visit the Castle and the Gardens: https://www.malahidecastleandgardens.ie/

It is a medieval castle with 800 years of heritage. The 260 acres of gardens are very beautiful and huge.  You can walk for hours and along the trails, you can see nice wood carvings that remind of the characters of a fairy tail.

The landscape is amazing. You can discover 5,000 varieties of plants and visit the butterfly house, with tropical plants and over 20 species of butterflies.

Dogs are welcome in the gardens, although you must have your leash on. However, there is an amazing off-leash area where dogs can play and run.

The off-leash area is very beautiful, surrounded by tall trees and with fountains for dogs.
This is me playing with my frisbee:

After visiting the Castle and the Gardens, you can take your humans to the village for a walk. The streets are colorful and lively.

There are many shops and restaurants, as well as painters selling their paintings all over the walk that connects the center of the village to the beach.

The beach in Malahide is pet-friendly. Many dogs take their human families to the beach, so you will be able to make new friends there.

You have to be on your leash when you are on the beach, although there are some areas where you can be off-leash. You can find more information here: https://www.thebeachguide.co.uk/republic-of-ireland/county-dublin/malahide.htm

DUBLIN CITY
KEEP DISCOVERING...!!

Today I am taking my human family to Dublin city! https://www.visitdublin.com/
Since there are many things to do and see in Dublin, we started our road trip in the morning. We stopped for brunch in Caragh, a lovely village near Dublin city. My human family loved a restaurant that is in this village: COOKE'S. https://cookesofcaragh.com/

Food is delicious and they have a nice Beer Garden where dogs are welcome.

Dublin city has many things to do with your two-legged family. In these links you can find some ideas:

HOW ABOUT GOING FIRST TO PLAY FOR A WHILE?
There are beautiful parks in Dublin to take your human family. In these links you can find information about them:

We visited 2 parks:

It is a beautiful park for the whole family. It has playground, fisheries, fairy woods, cycle track, allotments, rose gardens, sport & playing pitches, cricket pitch, caseball pitches, caravan park, river walk and public toilets. Besides this, it has a nice off-leash area for dogs to play.

This is me taking the Frisbee's test to see how good the dog area is 😜

ST. STEPHEN GREEN PARK: https://ststephensgreenpark.ie/
It is a lovely park in the city center, just in front of the shopping area. It is very lively, full of people getting some rest in the gardens, or doing an improvised break for lunch or dinner.

We went on Saturday evening, so there were many young people gathered there, having a drink and listening to music. All of them were super nice a friendly with me 😀.

In the center of the park, there is a big lake with ducks and swans, and many seagulls who are very used to humans and get close to you, so you can give them some food.

Next to this park, you can take your humans to the shopping area. They will be able to buy clothes, shoes, accessories, etc... and stop to eat or drink something. Many of the restaurants and bars have an outdoor area, and dogs are welcome there. The most famous places where you can take your humans for shopping is THE STEPHEN'S GREEN SHOPPING CENTER
https://www.stephensgreen.com/ , and GRAFTON STREET

After shopping, you can take your humans to see the city. For example, you can go to one of the bridges that crosses the river Liffey....

Or to see Dublin Castle https://www.dublincastle.ie/

Maybe.... the St. Patrick's Cathedral https://www.stpatrickscathedral.ie/

The Cathedral's gardens are pet friendly and during some hours a day, dogs are allowed off-leash.

Perhaps, you would like to take your human family for a drink and maybe for a dinner?  The best place is TEMPER BAR https://thetemplebarpub.com/

All the area is surrounded by cool pubs with a pet-friendly outdoor area, where you can take your humans for a drink or have something to eat. There are many people and the atmosphere is cool. Additionally, there are many pet-friendly pubs all around Dublin city, where dogs are allowed inside too.
You can find these pubs in these links:

So far these are the things I have done in Dublin County. I will be posting more...
