VIRGINIA U.S. STATE
FAMILY ROAD TRIP
Here I am, waiting for my human family to get the car ready for our road trip from Tennessee, crossing Virginia and all the way to New York City.
They are taking too much time... I can't wait to start our next adventure 😜
The first thing you need to know if you and your human family are driving trough the states of Tennessee or Virginia to New York in winter, is that you will find a lot of snow, so be prepared for that. You will need a heavy coat and snow boots, as well as plenty water and food, and maybe a blanket to cover yourself in the car.
This road trip is one of the most beautiful road trips I have ever done, because either the roads in the state of Tennessee or in the state of Virginia, are surrounded by astonishing landscapes.
Although in winter there is much snow, roads are clean and safe. We didn't need to use the snow chains in the car.
If your humans or you need to stop to stretch your legs, use the restroom or eat something, the best option is to stop in one of the many REST AREAS that you will find along the road. In both, the state of Tennessee and the state of Virginia, there are amazing and big rest areas surrounded by nature, with public restrooms, and tables and benches.
Here you can see some examples:

These gas stations usually have a fenced dog area, for you to play off-leash and use the restroom. They also have tables and benches for your humans.
This is me in one of those areas, the first time I saw snow 😀.
Since it was very cold that day, we decided to stop and have lunch in a RESTAURANT. We went to Southern Kitchen in New Market, Virginia. It is a local owned family restaurant where your humans can eat delicious homemade cooking. Dogs are allowed in the patio, and only service dos are allowed inside.

Finally, if your human family has been driving all day and they need to spend the night in a hotel, there are some PET FRIENDLY HOTELS along the road I-81 where you can go. In this website your humans can find some information about it:
Eventually, we found a good room in la Quinta Inn & Suits by Windham, in Wytheville, Virginia. It is a humble hotel but clean and with friendly staff. Dogs are welcome and they have a nice area for dogs to play and use the restroom.

Tell your human to visit this website to find more information about this hotel:
This is all for today
GOODNIGHT
&
SEE YOU IN THE NEXT ADVENTURE!!
